Lucy mostly teaches a vinyasa flow-style class, linking movement with the breath. This will help to improve strength, flexibility, posture and muscle tone whilst promoting mindfulness and reducing stress. The sequences will be energising yet grounding, giving you some precious time to yourself in amongst busy daily life. Lucy comes from a background of dance and personal training (specialising in pre and post-natal exercise).

NEW! Weekly Sunday class at Yoga Reading (off Richfield Avenue), 11am-12.15. Suitable for absolute beginners and pregnant and newly postnatal yogis (after a six-week check with the doctor).
This weekly class will be a lovely mix of some slow sequences, some sun/moon salutations and then delicious restorative yoga; holding super relaxing poses for several minutes. All to a beautiful soundtrack of gentle music, from classical to folk – to space sounds 🙂 Lucy has a passion for music so that is always subtly interwoven into the asana practice. Come join me for an easy start to your Sunday, to stretch out, slow down the mind and the breath.

With a background in personal training Lucy understands the desire for a yoga practice that physically works the body. It was Lucy’s desire for a dynamic yet mindful way of moving, in the form of yoga, that led her to become a yoga teacher. Lucy’s style of teaching helps to strengthen and tone the whole body, whilst keeping the mind peaceful. In her classes, she places great emphasis on relaxing with the help of the breath, encouraging students to regularly ‘check-in’ with themselves and de-stress, outside of the yoga studio also.
*I am also a pre- and postnatal exercise specialist so you are welcome to come to class if you are pregnant or have recently had a baby (after the six-week check with your doctor).

Due to the popularity of the workshop on January 14th, Lucy and Ruth decided to run their slow yoga and sound bath workshop again.
Expect more super slow yoga and a heavenly Sound Bath from Ruth Summer, sound therapist. Allow yourself to slow down, move little, and breath deeply to quieten the mind from the busyness of daily life, and practice loving kindness towards yourself. The workshop is very suitable for pregnant ladies once you’ve had your 12-week scan, and new Mums also (Lucy is a pre and postnatal exercise specialist so you’re in safe hands).
Lucy is passionate about the importance of reducing stress, listening to our body, allowing space for true rest, healing and peace. Ruth’s sound baths have the ability to take you from switched on and busy minded to a state near/into meditation. Come and join us for a truly relaxing afternoon.
